Language Immersion in Cirencester

From January 19th to 25th, 2025, 37 students and three teachers from the English department—Jesús Chica Castillo, María Josefa Villegas García, and Ascensión Rabaneda Jiménez—embarked on an enriching language immersion journey at the Cotswold International Language School in Cirencester, England. This experience enhanced their English proficiency and provided a deep dive into British culture and history.

A Week of Learning and Exploration

Throughout the week, students participated in English language classes, focusing on vocabulary, and conversational skills. These sessions were complemented by cultural excursions, including visits to iconic landmarks such as the Roman Amphitheatre in Cirencester, the historic city of Oxford, and the impressive London. These outings offered students a firsthand look at England’s rich heritage, making the learning experience both comprehensive and engaging.

Looking Ahead

This language immersion programme underscores the importance of experiential learning in language acquisition. The IES Antonio de Mendoza remains committed to providing students with opportunities that blend academic learning with cultural exploration, fostering a global perspective and enhancing linguistic skills.
